Makassar-Prokontra.online/ South Sulawesi Police Chief, Inspector General Pol. Drs Rusdi Hartono, M.Si., together with the ranks of the South Sulawesi Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), went directly to monitor security posts and monitor the security and public order situation (Siskamtibmas) on takbiran night, Sunday (30/3/2025).
After transiting at the Makassar Police Headquarters, the checking activity began with the main destination of the Security Post at the Makassar City Port and the Simpang Lima Post at Sultan Hasanuddin Airport. This check aims to ensure the readiness of security personnel in maintaining order and security for the community celebrating the night of takbiran.
After conducting direct checks at the two locations, the activity was continued with virtual monitoring and checking of security points throughout the ranks. This step was taken to ensure that all security posts in the South Sulawesi region function optimally in maintaining conduciveness.
This virtual monitoring lasted until 22.30 WITA, and was closed with a gathering session between the South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Forkopimda, and all ranks involved in security.
On this occasion, the South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief emphasized the importance of synergy between security forces and all elements of society in creating a safe and conducive situation during the Eid al-Fitr celebration.
“This monitoring activity is a form of our commitment to maintaining public security on takbiran night. We appreciate the cooperation of all parties involved in maintaining order,” said Inspector General of Police Rusdi Hartono.
With this direct and virtual monitoring, it is hoped that the takbiran night in South Sulawesi can run safely and smoothly without significant security disruptions.
